Tool Tech acts as an integral production resource for OEMs and manufacturers across aerospace, automotive, medical, and material handling sectors. We produce machined, fabricated, and sheet-metal components, manage material sourcing, quality checks, and logistics, and take on long-term and project-based programs that reduce your vendor count and your capacity risk.
Most contract manufacturers do one thing. They machine parts, or they fabricate, or they run sheet metal. When a program needs more than one of those things, you are suddenly managing two or three vendors, coordinating schedules, and absorbing the risk when any one of them is late.
Tool Tech is built differently. Our in-house capability covers CNC machining, fabrication, sheet metal components, wire EDM, waterjet cutting, and surface grinding, all under one roof in Springfield, Ohio. When you bring a contract manufacturing program to Tool Tech, one team owns the entire job from raw material through finished and inspected parts.
We handle material sourcing, quality checks, and outbound logistics so your team is not chasing purchase orders or managing receiving across multiple shops. For OEMs running lean procurement teams, that matters.
CNC Machined Components Our 25-machine CNC floor handles tight-tolerance production parts across steel, aluminum, stainless, and high-strength alloys. A 5-axis Haas UMC-750SS handles complex geometry. A Haas ST-30 CNC lathe with bar feeder runs unattended overnight batch production. From the first article through production runs, our machinists hold the specs your program demands.
Fabricated & Sheet Metal Components We produce fabricated and sheet metal components for OEM production programs. Waterjet cutting, CNC machining, and surface grinding, all in-house, mean we handle the full scope of a fabricated component without farming work out to outside vendors. Consistent quality across every batch.
Material Sourcing & Logistics We manage material procurement on your behalf, source to your spec, and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics using our own fleet of four delivery trucks ranging from 15,000 to 70,000 lb capacity. Fewer purchase orders on your side. Faster response when programs change.
Quality & Inspection Every production run goes through our CMM inspection department before it ships. Hexagon Absolute Arm with laser scanning, Keyence XM5000 Mobile CMM, Brown and Sharpe CMM, and Mitutoyo CMM give us the inspection depth to support first-article approval, production verification, and full dimensional reporting on every job.
Long-Term & Project-Based Programs We work with customers on both ongoing production programs and project-based work. If you need a reliable manufacturing partner for a defined program with a set schedule, or a production resource that flexes with your volume, Tool Tech can structure the engagement to fit how your operation runs.
Contract manufacturing work at Tool Tech runs across a wide range of materials and component types. Common materials include mild steel, tool steel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and high-strength alloys. Component types range from machined structural parts and precision housings to fabricated brackets, fixtures, and sheet metal panels.
We machine to the tolerances your program requires, not the tolerances that are convenient for us. Our CMM department verifies every job before shipment and provides dimensional documentation on request. For customers with first-article approval requirements, we support that process as a standard part of how we run new programs.
Our EdgeCam-programmed CNC floor handles production runs with consistent repeatability. The bar feeder on our Haas ST-30 lathe supports unattended overnight runs for turned components, keeping cycle times tight without inflating your per-part cost.
Tool Tech serves manufacturers across automotive, aerospace, medical, defense, logistics, and industrial sectors, and we are not limited to any one of them. If your program requires precision tooling, CNC machining, wire EDM, water jet cutting, or custom machine building, our shop has the equipment and experience to handle it. We have served OEM and Tier 1 suppliers, medical device manufacturers, aerospace contractors, and industrial operations from our Springfield facility for over 40 years. If you make parts that require tight tolerances and reliable delivery, we are the right shop.
Tool Tech is located at 4901 Urbana Road in Springfield, Ohio, within easy reach of Dayton, Columbus, and manufacturers across western and central Ohio. We have been serving OEM and production customers from this facility since 1985.
If you are an OEM or Tier 1 supplier looking for a contract manufacturing partner in Ohio who can handle machining, fabrication, and sheet metal under one roof, Tool Tech is worth a conversation. We are a tooling-first manufacturer, which means our machinists understand material behavior, tolerance stacks, and downstream processes in a way a general contract shop typically does not.
We also serve customers further out across the Midwest who need a reliable Ohio-based production partner. Our delivery fleet handles regional logistics and we coordinate shipping for customers outside our immediate area.
Whether you need a one-time production run or a long-term manufacturing partner for an ongoing OEM program, tell us what you are working on. Quotes on standard production programs typically come back within a few business days.
